Virtual Rebounding(30 minutes)Core Rebounding is an exciting exercise program which combines the cardiovascular and cellular benefits of rebounding with the core strengthening and postural benefits of Pilates. Rebounding strengthens the body’s musculoskeletal system by providing an increased gravitational load without the impact to the joints that running, jogging or aerobics usually generates. Cardiolates is then the cardiovascular activity that pilates lacks. It improves body composition (melts fat!), increases bone density, improves circulation and protects the joints from the impact delivered by typical cardiovascular exercise. Rebounding (fitness jumping) has been used in rehabilitative settings for over 30 years. It is accomplished by jumping only a few inches off the surface of a specialized urban rebounder (like a mini trampoline). It is a fun workout for all ages, shapes and sizes. This safe, effective style of aerobics provides a surprisingly challenging workout without excess stress on the heart, muscles and joints. Urban rebounding was created by J.B. Berns, a practicing martial artist for over 20 years, whom Fitness Magazine called one of the top personal trainers in the country. This workout has it’s lineage in martial arts and core abdominal postures, resulting in a non-stop abdominal workout that melts away the fat and inches, strengthens your core and improves your balance and coordination like no other exercise.
